Min-Max Methods for Ginzburg-Landau Functionals and Connections to Geometric Measure Theory
Abstract:- I will present a natural method for producing unstable critical points of the Ginzburg-Landau functionals on an arbitrary manifold, and describe results showing that a nontrivial portion of the energy must concentrate on a generalized minimal submanifold of codimension two. [video]
