Noncommutative Resolutions II

Abstract:

I will review the notion of a noncommutative resolution due to string theorists and Van den Bergh. This will involve all my favourite ingredients: D-branes, derived categories, quivers, matrix factorizations, etc. Hopefully I'll get to a useful application involving flops this week.
