Written Qualifying Exam
Given about 10 days before the start of the semester.
Basic graduate courses
Oral Qualifying Exam
Should be taken before the end of the first year, must be taken before the end of the third semester.
Annual Progress Reports
Are due on April 15 each year.
Preliminary Exam
Must be taken before the end of the third year.
Thesis Defense and Graduation
Pay careful attention to the deadlines.
Applying for Academic Jobs
Is done in the Fall of your final year.
