World Class Sprints
Downloading Matlab Files
Matlab often requires more
than one ".m" file for all the steps in a module. The necessary files for
this module have been "packaged" into a single file for downloading. If
you know what file type you need and what to do with it, you may download
now by selecting from the following table. If you are not sure, please
read the detailed instructions following the table.
Instructions for Downloading/Extracting
Matlab Files
Please select from the following
list your preferred form for downloading. Then save the downloaded file
to the directory of your choice, and follow the instructions for "unpacking"
it.

on its name).

In your command window (not
the Matlab window), cd to the directory where you saved the file, and enter
the command
tar xvfp sprints.tar

Save the file sprints.tar.gz.

In your command window (not
the Matlab window), cd to the directory where you saved the file, and enter
the command
gunzip sprints.tar.gz

Then enter the command
tar xvfp sprints.tar

Save the file sprints.sea.hqx.

Use the utility StuffIt Expander
to extract the files. Or use the utility BixHex to create sprints.sea, and
then run this application to extract the files.

After you have saved your .m
files, do the following:

Start Matlab.

If you saved your files in
a directory that is not already in Matlab's path, use the addpath
command to add your directory to the Matlab path.

Open a diary file in
Matlab in order to save your work.

Open the first file for this
module by typing on the Matlab command line:
sprints1

Start Part 1 of the module
by clicking the Forward /graphics/button (or, if you prefer, return to Contents by
clicking the Back /graphics/button).
