Registration

Those who wish assistance in making local hotel reservations, those who wish to attend the banquet, and/or those who wish to receive support, must register before March 7. The registration procedure is as follows:
  1. Fill out the registration form, and calculate the amount you owe for registration. This amount will be the sum of the following amounts:

The lodging fee should be calculated as follows: if you have a grant or other external support, you should pay the full cost of sharing a double room ($41 per night) or a single room ($82 per night). If you do not have a grant, and are planning to share a double room, you owe nothing. If you do not have a grant, and are requesting a single room, you should pay $41 (the difference between a single and half of a double) per night.

If your situation falls outside the scenarios contemplated in the preceding paragraph (e.g., you're sharing a room with a nonparticipant), send us a note describing your circumstances and we'll respond with our best estimate of the appropriate fee.

  2. If you are registering with a paper form, mail the registration form along with a check made out to the Department of Mathematics, Duke University, to:
    Geometry Festival

    Department of Mathematics
    P.O. Box 90320
    Durham, NC 27708-0320
Please do not send checks drawn on non-U.S. banks, as we have to pay a substantial fee to cash foreign checks. Non-U.S. participants can pay the registration and banquet fees in U.S. dollars upon arrival.

  3. If you have registered on-line or via email, mail a check for the appropriate amount to the address above after you have submitted the electronic registration form. Please write "electronic registration" on the check.

If you are eligible for support from Geometry Festival Funds and are a US citizen, please include your Social Security Number and your home address. If you are eligible for support from Geometry Festival Funds and are not a US citizen, please state the type of visa documentation you will be bringing with you to the Festival. For more details on what is required, see our Support Information.
