ENFANT 2014
Exciting New Faces in Analytic Number Theory
11 - 12 July 2014
Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, Bonn
Funded by the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics and the Number Theory Foundation
Organizers: Lillian Pierce and Damaris Schindler

This two day workshop for graduate students, postdocs, and newly appointed faculty, is a prelude to the workshop ELEFANT, and takes place at the HCM during 14 - 18 July 2014. During ENFANT, young researchers give short presentations on their work and have a chance to interact with fellow participants. For more information, see the workshop website.

ELEFANT 2014
Emerging Leaders and Evolving Frontiers in Analytic Number Theory
14 - 18 July 2014
Hausdorff Center for Mathematics, Bonn
Funded by the Hausdorff Center for Mathematics and the Number Theory Foundation
Organizers: Lillian Pierce and Damaris Schindler

Analytic number theory has seen a number of startling successes in the last decade, including results on arithmetic progressions in primes and connections to ergodic theory; the development of the affine sieve and applications to Apollonian circle packings and thin groups; a breakthrough on Vinogradov mean value theorems with applications to Waring's problem; the resolution of the ternary Goldbach conjecture; and brilliant new results on bounded gaps between primes. This workshop celebrates several of these new results and explore many more current developments in analytic number theory, including evolving connections to related fields. For more information, see the workshop website.
