Course Information

Duke Community Standard  -- This is a very good webpage created by Prof. Clark Bray. You're required to read through the section on "Duke Community Standard" at this link. You're welcome to read through the rest of the text, but keep in mind that not all apply to Math 111L. For more detailed course information, see Course Policy below.

Block Calculus Course Policy -- This is the superseding policy regarding your learning objectives and grading policies.

Course Policy -- You will mostly refer to this link regarding course policies and information. Most information you need for this course could be found here. Please read carefully through the entire document at the beginning of the semester.

Syllabus -- This syllabus shows all of the sections that will be covered in this course, in chronological order, along with all of the problems assigned for each section. I might make some minor changes to the syllabus throughout the semester. If so done, you will receive an email notification in your inbox.

Help Room -- This is a very valuable and readily available (+ free!) resource for students enrolled in 100-200 level math classes. See the "Hour-by-hour" schedule linked on this page.

Course Website -- This is the official website from the department with the description of this course in general.

Resources

Sakai -- This will be the place where you can check your exam grades. Exam grades will be (securely) posted as soon as possible, and it's suggested that you verify that they have been recorded correctly. If not, contact me asap so that we can make the correction in time. No corrections will be made after the final exam.
There is a shared Sakai site for all section sof Math 111L where you can find past and current exams to use in your preparations, a chapter-by-chapter solution manual for the textbook, and other resources.
I have also created an individual Sakai site for our section (section 05) only. I have not decided on how much I would use this site.. It is mainly a tool for communication. If anything, I will generate an email notification through the site.

DukeHub -- This is where you can access all your student information. Class schedule, Enrolling courses, etc. For the purpose of this course, this site won't be much refered to except when you need to add/drop the course. Midterm grade and final grade (both letter grades) will be posted here as well. Keep in mind that your midterm grade cannot predict or gaurantee your final grade rather than giving you a rough idea of your placement in the class.

Math Information for First-Year Students -- This page contains information for first-year calculus studnets. Specifically, this page contains important information regarding course placement, enrollment, tutors, the help room schedule, etc. Make sure to familiarize ourself with it.

Academic Resource Center -- This is where you can get help on maximizing your capabilities as an undergraduate student, including learning consultations, tutoring & study groups, LD/ADHD support, etc.

DukeReach -- If you are concerned about your physical or mental health, or someone else's potential future actions based on their behavior, this site will provide you with the resources you need to assist a student or get the appropriate help so that someone else may do so. DukeReach is located in the Dean of Students Office and works with departments and groups across campus and in the community, including Housing, CAPS, Student Health, community health providers, the Academic Resource Center, and more.

Student Conduct Office -- Where you can report online incidents involving students and/or students organizations.
